Image Processing Engineer

Beena Vision is looking to hire a motivated engineer to fill an entry level Image Processing Engineer position. The qualified applicant will join Beena Vision’s Image Processing team to work on a cutting edge project, and must have experience (professional or academic) involving image processing, computer vision, advanced morphological techniques in the detection and extraction of image features, and implementing image registration, segmentation and pattern matching techniques. The Image Processing Engineer in this position will: be responsible for image acquisition software and hardware development, image processing algorithm development, real-time implementation of machine vision algorithms; test and verify systems performance based on site data utilizing algorithms in MATLAB, C, C++, Open CV, and other image processing platforms; and research new algorithms to assist in the detection and identification of various train components. Subject to supervision, this position will apply engineering principles, techniques, and procedures to develop and design the software required for such systems mainly in MATLAB and to modify current software for deployment at different field sites. The Image Processing Engineer will also explore exhaustive testing of software before it is deployed into the field, maintain the code base for current systems in the field, deploy code in the field, and monitor software for error free operation. This position will also use knowledge in design techniques, tools, and principles to write technical reports and use manuals for the products being developed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Able to understand and apply imaging processing principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Able to code in MATLAB, C/C++.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills, along with the ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
